China’s music scene is hitting up, with more and more rock bands and festivals emerging. Industry insiders say the opportunities are exciting. Carsick Cars is one of the hottest young rock bands in China. They are part of a burgeoning alternative music scene. Most youngsters in Beijing listen to manufactured pop. But now more and more hipster’s crowds into small venues like this one, eager to hear a different style of music. Zhang Shouwang, Carsick Cars front man, "When we started, you know, like all the bands played in a very small club near the Forbidden City, it's only probably can fit 20 people there. But I think right now more students come to the shows."
