We researched 26 of the most popular names in chains to find out the busiest location in the world for each. Sure, some turned out to be in New York City, but there were certainly some unexpected surprises as well.

The U.S. has the most McDonald's with 12,804 restaurants. Germany is in fifth place with 1,091 restaurants.

Another trivia fact: Memphis, TN at one time was the only city to have an underground IMAX....which may still be true.

Another piece of trivia: One of Hard Rock's founders was Isaac Tigrett of Memphis, TN. It took years for Memphis to finally get a Hard Rock of its own (on historic Beale Street near the FedEx Forum).
