Also, someone says Notre Dame would be the most expensive is completely wrong. While Notre Dame is $43,000, including tuition, housing, and fees, GWU is about $54,000 and Sarah Lawrence is about $53,000, including tuition, housing, and fees.

The list isn't poorly researched. Columbia and John Hopkins, while very expensive, aren't close to being as expensive as GWU or Sarah Lawrence. You guys underestimate the students who attend to these colleges. They're some of the richest students in the country, and their parents won't be "eating beans." I'm attending GWU, and I will have no college debt. I'm not paying for the name, but the support, education, and job training I could never get at a state school or even an ivy..

Many of these schools of higher learning charges outrageous tuition simply because of it's NAME. Parents are eating beans sending there sons and daughters to these Universities. Piling up dept. When they graduate, within a year they won't even speak to there parents. Just to get to say that's my son, or that's my daughter at these over priced schools have cost them over 200,000 dollars. Send that bone head to a four year State University, and save yourself over 100,000 dollars.

I think this article was poorly researched and these are not the top ten most expensive colleges. Where is Columbia University?? I went to tech school at St.Johns University and it was 51k a year with no room and board! Where does Boston University fall in? I think the list should say some of the most expensive colleges and not be top ten.

Instead of taxing the rest of us for more and more student aid and decimating the finances of families who are "too rich" to get aid, let's start focusing on putting these universities and their faculties on a diet.
