LENEXA, KS -- (Marketwire) -- 11/09/09 -- Applebee's is saying thank you to the nation's veterans and active duty military by inviting them to enjoy a free entree on Veterans Day, Wednesday, Nov. 11, 2009.

The special Applebee's Veterans Day menu includes an entrée for veterans and active duty military:

Guests will be asked to show proof of service, which includes: U.S. Uniform Services Identification Card, U.S. Uniform Services Retired Identification Card, Current Leave and Earnings Statement, Veterans Organization Card, DD214, citation or commendation, photograph in uniform or wearing uniform.
