Stanford and Intuit Kick Off Global Innovation Tournament in Preparation for Global Entrepreneurship Week

WHAT: 2009 Global Innovation Tournament Kick-off
The Stanford Technology Ventures Program at Stanford University will announce the mystery challenge for this year’s Global Innovation Tournament, sponsored by Intuit Inc., a leading provider of financial management solutions for consumers and small businesses. The kick-off event will begin with a short overview of the tournament and the unveiling of the mystery challenge. Music hit maker Quincy Jones III and Grammy-Award winning hip-hop artist Chamillionaire will then engage in a conversation about innovation in the changing music industry.

The Global Innovation Tournament, an official activity of Global Entrepreneurship Week, is a fast-paced competition that will challenge thousands of students around the world to solve a mystery challenge in about eight days, creating as much value and impact as possible. Teams must then convey their results in a short video (three minutes or less) posted to YouTube by November 13.
