Customers Rank Qwest Ethernet Services Best in Class
Qwest Communications (NYSE: Q) has earned the “Market Leader” award for Ethernet services from Nemertes Research in its recently announced 2009 PilotHouse Awards. Nemertes Research is a research-advisory firm that specializes in analyzing and quantifying business value of emerging technologies.
KEY FACTS
- The 2009 PilotHouse Awards ranked service providers based on business customer survey ratings from nearly 1,400 telecom decision-makers. Surveyed customers ranked Qwest highest overall for carrier Ethernet services, highest overall in Ethernet services value and highest overall in customer service.
- The survey results are detailed in Nemertes Research’s PilotHouse Awards – Top Providers: Ethernet Services 2009, which was released on Nov. 2.
- Qwest’s Ethernet services provide customers with competitively priced, scalable, high-value bandwidth to meet metro-area and long-haul networking needs. Qwest offers a large breadth of Ethernet services ranging from optical wavelength and metro optical Ethernet to point-to-point Ethernet over private lines.
- Qwest recently announced it is enhancing its nationwide network with breakthrough technology that will position the company to deliver speeds of up to 100 Gigabits per second (Gbps). 100 Gbps speeds will be offered where Qwest provides Ethernet-based iQ Networking and QWave data networking services.
- Qwest provides Ethernet services to more than 1,200 U.S. cities.
