Asymtek’s Calibrated Process Jetting Reduces Process Variability and Ensures Consistent Dispensing Flow Rates

Nordson ASYMTEK, a leader in dispensing, coating, and jetting technologies, introduces patented CPJ+ (Calibrated Process Jetting Plus). CPJ+ reduces process variability to maintain a constant Takt time by ensuring consistent flow rates for applications such as underfill with tight keep-out zones and for sealing applications where uniform bondline thickness is critical.

Using Asymtek’s proprietary Fluidmove^® for Windows^® XP (FmXP) software, integral electro-pneumatic regulators, and precision weigh scale, CPJ+ automatically compensates for both fluid viscosity changes over time as well as batch-to-batch variations. CPJ+ increases dispense accuracy for higher yields and ensures a highly repeatable process, minimizing setup-to-setup and line-to-line variation, while completely eliminating the need for operator interaction.

CPJ+ makes set-up easy. The user simply enters key process parameters into the software. At programmed intervals, the dispenser measures the weight per dot and adjusts each jet to maintain a constant mass per part. Settings are recorded for traceability. Errors associated with operator adjustment are eliminated since the process is under machine control.
