Allied Capital Earnings to be Released November 5, 2009; Conference Call with Ares Capital Scheduled

Allied Capital Corporation (NYSE: ALD) announced that it will release third quarter 2009 results on Thursday, November 5, 2009. A conference call has been scheduled for 11:00 am (EST) that day where the following separate presentations will follow each other in immediate succession (i) Ares Capital will present its third quarter earnings, (ii) Allied Capital will present its third quarter earnings and (iii) Ares Capital and Allied Capital will discuss the recently announced transaction whereby Ares Capital has agreed to acquire Allied Capital.
