Winn-Dixie upgrades 51 stores

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. (AP) — Winn-Dixie Stores Inc. said Wednesday that it has completed remodels and upgrades on 51 of its stores in the North Florida and South Georgia area.
The Jacksonville, Fla.-based chain said it is launching a new motto "Fresh Checked Every Day" to celebrate the updates.
The company began the first phase of the company wide remodeling effort more than two years ago.
The updates vary by store but may include expanded produce departments, custom sandwich shops and other improvements.
Winn-Dixie operates 515 stores in the Southeastern region.
Shares of the company fell 10 cents to $13.77 in afternoon trading.
