Tommy Bahama, Major League Baseball ink shirt deal
SEATTLE (AP) — The Tommy Bahama brand and Major League Baseball said Tuesday that they signed a deal to create a line of limited edition shirts.
Terms of the multiyear agreement were not disclosed.
Tommy Bahama, owned by the Tommy Bahama Group, which is a unit of Oxford Industries Inc., will debut its first shirt for the 2009 World Series.
The shirts, which will be numbered and authenticated, will feature baseball-inspired artwork and graphics. The cobranded collection will also feature shirts for 2010 Opening Day.
The apparel can be purchased at certain Tommy Bahama's stores and at the Tommy Bahama Web site.
Shares of Oxford Industries dropped fell 43 cents to $22.66 in morning trading.
