Northrop Grumman gets $3.44B Air Force deal
WASHINGTON (AP) — Northrop Grumman Corp., the nation's second largest defense contractor, received a $3.44 billion contract from the Air Force to provide services for the B-2 weapon system, the Pentagon said late Wednesday.
The B-2 is a heavy bomber with stealth technology that can penetrate dense anti-aircraft defenses and deploy conventional and nuclear weapons.
Shares of the Los Angeles-based company added 92 cents to $49.82 in aftermarket trading, having closed the regular session at $48.90.
