Navigators names new CEO of underwriting agency
NEW YORK (AP) — Insurance company Navigators Group Inc. on Friday said it named a new CEO of its principal U.S. underwriting agency, Navigators Management Co., also known as NMC.
Christopher Duca, who joined the company in 2001 and has led NMC's management liability, professional liability and casualty business, is replacing Stanley Galanski in the post. Galanski will serve as chairman of NMC and will continue as president and CEO of Navigators Group.
The company also promoted Michael Civisca executive vice president and chief operating officer of NMC. He was previously responsible for NMC's marine, energy, inland marine and commercial multi-peril business.
Ed Helfers was named president of NMC's Marine Division, while Lori Ann Lowery has been named to the new position of president of field operations.
Shares of Navigators Group closed Thursday at $52.46.
