Black&Decker rose $1.47 or 2.4 percent, to $61.48.
Snap-On rose $.99 or 2.6 percent, to $38.40.
Stanley Works rose $1.17 or 2.4 percent, to $49.62.
Whirlpool rose $1.94 or 2.7 percent, to $73.85.
