Brinker signs deal to create Chili's in Russia
DALLAS (AP) — Restaurant chain Brinker International Inc. has signed a development deal with Trio's Group Ltd. to create 25 Chili's restaurants in Russia by June 2017.
Terms were not disclosed.
The first Chili's Grill&Bar is targeted to open in Moscow in November 2010, Brinker said late Tuesday.
Privately held Trio's was formed solely to develop and run Chili's restaurants in Russia.
Earlier this month, Brinker said it moved to a fiscal fourth-quarter profit partly on the sale of its Romano's Macaroni Grill business.
Brinker currently owns, runs or franchises 203 international locations in 29 countries and two territories outside the U.S. It plans to have 500 restaurants open outside the U.S. by 2014.
