BGC Partners to open Moscow office

LONDON (AP) — BGC Partners Inc., a London-based stockbroker, said Monday it plans to open a new office in Moscow.
The office, to provide brokerage services to local and international clients, is scheduled to open in November.
The expansion is part of BGC Partners' effort to focus on international growth, said President Shaun Lynn.
BGC Partners, with 18 offices worldwide, specializes in international brokerage services for banks, broker-dealers, investment banks, trading firms, hedge funds, governments and investment firms.
Shares rose 2 cents to $5.47. They've traded between $1.37 and $5.57 in the past year.
