WASHINGTON, May 16 /PRNewswire/ -- Raytheon Company (NYSE: RTN) has
appointed Frank Brown vice president of Navy programs in the company's U.S.
Business Development organization.

As Raytheon's primary contact to the company's Navy customers, Brown is
responsible for identifying and pursuing Navy business growth opportunities
and maintaining customer satisfaction.
Following a 24-year Navy career, Brown retired as a Captain. He was deputy
program manager of the Joint Standoff Weapon program and chief engineer for
the AIM-9X and the AAAM (Advanced Air-to-Air Missile) programs.
In 1995, Brown joined Hughes Aircraft Company, which merged with Raytheon
in 1997, as the director of Cruise Missile Defense Systems in the Washington
office. In 2002, he joined Raytheon Missile Systems in Tucson, Ariz., where he
was director of Business Development for the Advanced Programs product line.
Immediately prior to his new assignment, Brown was director of special systems
for Advanced Programs.
Brown has a bachelor's degree in political science from the University of
California, Los Angeles, and a master's degree in system engineering from the
University of Southern California.
