Ivanka Trump and Healthy Choice Introduce New Lunch Options

PR Newswire
Posted: 2008-10-21 09:00:00

OMAHA, Neb., Oct. 21 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Healthy Choice is partnering with Ivanka Trump, successful New York businesswoman, to change the way people think about eating lunch at work. Through "Lunch Trade" events, American office workers will be among the first to try Healthy Choice(R) Fresh Mixers(TM) meals -- new complete, freshly prepared and healthful lunch options that can be stored in a desk or pantry.

Strapped for time and cash, many working Americans are compromising on the nutrition and quality of their lunches. Because these office workers are attached to their computers, half of them eat something less healthful than they would like, according to a recent Omnibus survey. Top reasons cited for this choice include convenience (57%), price (39%) and taste (35%). Healthy Choice Fresh Mixers' "Lunch Trade" offers a fresh-tasting solution to the lunchtime compromise.

At noon today, thousands of deskbound employees from financial, health care and media industries will break free from their boring lunch routine in two of America's busiest business-driven cities. New Yorkers will gather outside the Grace building in midtown Manhattan to see Ivanka Trump and receive Healthy Choice Fresh Mixers, while Chicagoans can taste the new products downtown at the One South Wacker building in the heart of Chicago's financial district.

Healthy Choice Fresh Mixers have just arrived in stores across America, so employees at Citigroup, Radio Shack Corporation, Aetna, Bank of America, The Wall Street Journal and Hearst Corporation will be just a few of the companies touched by the "Lunch Trade" events.

"I'm excited to be partnering with Healthy Choice on the launch of Healthy Choice Fresh Mixers because I know how difficult it can be to try to find a healthy lunch during a hectic day," says Ivanka Trump. "Healthy Choice Fresh Mixers are convenient, fresh-tasting and easy to store in my desk drawer so I never have to skip lunch."

Healthy Choice Fresh Mixers are made from premium ingredients, such as extra virgin olive oil, wine reductions and fire-roasted vegetables. Meals containing pasta are made with Ultragrain(R) flour, 100% whole wheat flour that combines the nutritional benefits of whole grains with the finished recipe qualities of traditional refined flour. Separating ingredients during the storage and preparation process is another unique step that makes Healthy Choice Fresh Mixers different from other microwaveable meals. The innovative technology used to prepare Healthy Choice Fresh Mixers is the same method used in Healthy Choice Cafe Steamers, recently recognized as the best-selling new food or beverage product midway through 2008, by Information Resources Inc (IRI).

"Healthy Choice Fresh Mixers are designed with a distinct cooker to separate the starch and the sauce, helping to maintain the flavor and texture of both. Consumers prepare the rice or pasta fresh in the microwave, and mix it together with the sauce and meat to create a complete, healthful meal all in about five minutes," said Jess Sweley, director of Research & Development at ConAgra Foods. "Healthy Choice Fresh Mixers are a perfect fit for the drawer of any deskbound employee -- a complete meal requiring no freezing or refrigeration that you can feel good about eating."

In addition to introducing a complete, healthful and convenient new lunch option, Healthy Choice will continue to shape the way people spend lunch at their desks by introducing an engaging advertising and interactive online campaign. Through the comedic, improvisational feel of the campaign, along with the talented filmmaker, Nicholas Stoller, who directed the comedy film Forgetting Sarah Marshall, Healthy Choice has created a fresh way to think about eating lunch at work.

Similar to the TV advertising, the new Web site will feature innovative, live interactions between a professional comedy improvisational cast and cube-bound office workers. The audience will actually participate in the live, digital experience by choosing sketch themes and directing the actors. Being part of the fun while enjoying lunch at their desks will provide an energizing lunch break and a welcome laugh in the middle of the day for office workers.
