Family Dollar Names Kevin Boyanowski Senior Vice President – Global Sourcing

Family Dollar Stores, Inc. (NYSE: FDO) today announced that it has named Kevin Boyanowski to the position of Senior Vice President – Global Sourcing. Mr. Boyanowski will report to Robert George, Executive Vice President and Chief Merchandising Officer.

In support of these efforts, we have invested significantly to improve our global procurement capabilities to include enhanced quality control processes and stronger global relationships,” said Mr. George. “Continuous improvement is critical to our desire to provide more value for our customers and shareholders, and Kevin’s vast knowledge and experience positions him well to lead our efforts to drive further improvement in our global procurement capabilities.”

Prior to joining Family Dollar, Mr. Boyanowski served as a Partner and Solution Lead for IBM’s Global Business Services. Additional retail experience includes consulting work with KPMG as well as various positions with Fisher Big Wheel Stores and Rose’s Stores, Inc. Mr. Boyanowski earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science from Wake Forest University.
