On the Watch: Apple's 3G iPhone to go on sale

NEW YORK (AP) _ Apple's new iPhone hits the market on Friday.

It's cheaper than its predecessor and works over 3G, or third-generation, faster wireless networks.

Despite a volatile U.S. economy, Lehman Brothers analyst Ben Reitzes says momentum is building for Apple, thanks to the 3G iPhone and new notebooks. In just the first three months of the year, Apple sold 1.73 million iPhones.

Reitzes rates the stock "Overweight."
