What I've chosen to do for a career is bringing that foreign money back into the U.S. where it belongs! It's starting to happen in a huge exponential fashion as well. I'm doing my part and happy to do it! Are you? The same opportunity is there for all of you to step up and do your part as well. Lipservice doesn't get it done!

There is no doubt that GM and the other "Big" Three have "made their own bed", and must now lie in it. Their BIGGEST sin was in not responsibly pursuing INNOVATION and ALTERNATIVE TECHNOLOGY --- until, that is, they were on death's door. And yes --- there is plenty of BLAME to go around to BOUT "Management" and ALSO "Labor" (and don't forget also "Government" too). ALL of those "marvelous Whiz-Bangs" had a vested interest in trying to cling to the now OUTMODED and finally DYING "old" paradigm (which had long, after all, served to supply ALL of thise three "players" with a huge, steady flow of "wealth" extracted from all of "us".At this point, I don't much care about these companies per se (any more than "they" cared, really, about ME). But one thing appears to be being overlooked in all of this. The fact of the matter is that there have, over the years, been SOME folks working within the fabrics of these giants --- in very COMPETENT environments --- on the development of the alternativ

What do you expect to happen to GM , when all you see on American roads areToyotas,Nissans, Mitsubishis, Isuzus, Hondas, Huyndais, BMWs, Mercedes, Volvos,Saabs, Volkswagens, Porsches, Ferraris, Bentleys, Maserattis, and so on?What happened to America, that was once an industrial giant? What happened tothe glamour of the late 50's? What happened to the performance of the late 60's?If you think I am dreaming, think again what will happen to this country, called USA.

The Democrats wrecked the economy with their sub prime loan laws, and now they are looting the taxpayers with their $800$ billion Pork Barrel spending. They are going to make this recessin even worse and last longer and hurt more people.

The trickle down theory hasn't worked well but now when you are trying to fix it you want to send the money to the guys at the top? I think it is supposed to trickle up! Two thirds of our ecenomy is generated by the average consumer. You know the one you just laid off! Put down the golf clubs and get back to work.

Your government (through taxes and regulations) and your investments have driven jobs overseas in pursuit of higher profits and higher rates of returns on investments! That guy/gal in China that's performing the same job that a U.S. worker used to make a living at pays not one cent in taxes to support our communities and country! There is no Santa Clause and you can't have your cake and eat it too! Those high paying jobs that used to support the 'consumerism' in this country (70% of the GDP) and support the infrastructure in many communities are gone! It happened for many reasons, one of which is the prevailing mindset that those auto workers were lazy, uneducated and 'overpaid'! You think those wages stayed in a basket somewhere? No, they were spent buying the goods and services that used to be available here!

GM and Delphi (most other corporations as well) could give a rat's ass less about their employees! GM salaried people have historically 'took it on the chin'! Management would take away raises, benefits, etc. from the salaried workers as leverage during negotiations with the unions. GM's salaried retirees at Medicare age recently saw their GM health care benefits evaporate and were thrust into Medicare! GM agreed to provide health insurance for them but now they've put the burden on taxpayers! Delphi recently petitioned the Federal Courts to have their active and retired salary employee's health and life insurance benefits canceled while reaping the profits from overseas operations!
