In World War II one of the major armies used synthetic gasoline from the only available national resource they had, coal. This is not a new process.....dah

That was the Wermacht

What inflation? Isn't that what the propaganda is. They really are trying to make us think we aren't hurting but hey! WE ARE!

This is all about last minute profits grabs before the Bush Administration is gone...usually they all take major trip around the world but these guys are just gonna take the money.

The tail wags the dog. Inflation and price increases will bite the mailman in 2-3 years. Better hold the mail and stock up..

What is needed:

Public financing of elections
Fix the earmarks that are attached to bills in Congress by having them become fully disclosed and equally distributed to all Congressmen to be able to use them.
Cut all lobbying and restrict it to in state only and make it fully transparent.

Close the FOREIGN MARKETS LOOPHOLE

Under an administrative loophole, federal regulators can issue so called no action letters to overseas energy trading platforms. As the letters name implies, the letter promises that no action will be taken against them to enforce U.S. anti manipulation laws, even if those markets allow trading of energy products for delivery and consumption within the United States. One such no action letter allows the trading of US based crude oil, West Texas Intermediate, and other products upon Londons InterContinental Exchange. Even though that exchange is run out of Atlanta, Georgia and dominated by U.S. financial interests. American consumers come first, it is time to shut down the foreign dark markets loophole and to stop issuing blank regulatory checks overseas.

As long as gas prices are up, I am not buying anything other than food. So the economy gets worse, oh well.... I walk to work anyway, and I walk to the store. I own my house and car, and no credit cards. I will just wait it out. The only thing in danger is my 401k. Which is a biggy but nothing I can do about that.

Granted things are bad, but remember bad things flow downhill , and the rest of the world won't be left out. A one, two, or even a three percent drop in the stockmarket don't mean the the US of A is coming to an end. The federal government spends money like this every month. Relax and invest more money, its safer than oil. We just need more control over the insiders and company boards.

From articles that I have read, they state that most of the oil pumped out of Alaska doesn't go to the lower United States, it's sold to Asian countries for more money. So, the oil companies greed goes into the equation.

Our so called representatives in the biggest sin city, that being Washington, D.C. need to call this a national emergency and do what ever drastic measures it can before America sinks into being a third world country.
