Can you really break up something like OPEC???? The one who has the gold makes the rules and right now OPEC makes the rules because they have the GOLD. BLACK GOLD!!!

"And the Academy Award goes to George Bush" The sequel of "Ask Saudi for a Break" he has Americans fooled that Bush really want the Saudis to assist us by producing more barrells of oil. Bush's Dad, Cheney and Bush Jr. have invested interest in these high prices.
Bush is really going to bat for Americans??? Yeah Right!!
Even if they produce more oil, will they drop the price per barrell??? I DON"T THINK SO! Demand will still dictate price and the Speculators will dictate price.
As the Exxon CEO stated in his interview as long as deman world wide remains constant, so will these high gas prices.
Let's find alternative fuels, increase Gas Mileage in our new vehicles and quickly!!!

Quotes from amother article
#1 "One day, two moves designed to allay concerns about an overheated oil market that's squeezing motorists and inflating the prices of all sorts of goods.
The response in the oil trading pits? Traders did what they've been doing for months now, and pushed crude oil and gasoline futures to new highs. "

#2 "The reason for the disconnect has little to do with political decisions in Washington or Riyadh, and everything to do with market expectations. The Saudi production increase was seen in the market as minuscule, and no one expected the suspension of shipments to the U.S. government's Strategic Petroleum Reserve to have much impact on supplies.
Even more important, the traders placing the bets expect prices to just keep moving higher. "

r energy is the answer to a lot of the problem -every day the sun is out or halfway out we should be running on it and banking its power.

We the technology we have in this country we could have a hydrogen car on the road within a year!!!! That would hurt the oil companies, so that won't happen. We should build safe nuclear plants, more wind power, more solar. We let these countries make us a 3rd world country.

Smile you republicans when you fill your gas tank up, I hope your president bush helps your business go belly up. You voted for the mindless idiot 8 years ago.

Prousa217 06:56:22 PM May 16 2008

Now let's see.. what do we do now?? Stop procuring oil reserves didn't stop the rise oil price. Fixed the Enron loophole didn't affect the price either. yesterday I begged President Bush do not go to Saudi and BEG for oil.. he did. I'm a republican and a red blooded American who does not BEG... we are Americans.. WE DO NOT BEG..... I'm embarrassed being an American today because of Bush. he was not welcome in Saudi and I saw the middle finger solute.. Why Bush? Which part of being an American don't you understand? Worst part of it, we have the technology in America today to be independent and self sufficient in energy sources if we don't have the lobbyists, the dumb government leaders, red tape, greed and oil traders. Government, what would it take for you to use the other half of your brain and begin implement alternative energy incentives, bring on the available technology, get rid of all of your SUV governement vehicles and stop taking money from the lobbyists because you should ha
