If a company is under bankruptcy and not fairing very well, how can they be worth an 11.3 billion dollar offer? I'd figure a struggling company could be purchased cheaper. Anybody notice letely how many company bids have been in the mulitbillion dollar range? Somebody has money and it sure isn't most of the people. We americans may be singing our swan song for awhile now.

MIR or DYN would be a better partner for Calpine. My guess is all of the "merchant" energy providers will join the bidding. None of them are strong enough to remain alone. Sad statement for a once promising industry. Thanks, Enron.
