Cutting models in itself won't help Chrysler, SeKinU2, but if it's combined with improving their products, that's a different story.

i had a nissan rogue rental. it had the cheapest looking interior and the doors felt like they weighed 5 lbs. the front passenger area was so narrow i felt claustrophobic. go figure.

It wont make to much of a difference as the chrysler product is pretty much garbage as it is, The 300 put some life in them and a few of the cross over vehicles will keep them a float but with poor trucks and cheap looking insides people dont want these cars. Dodge has had a reputation for making poor quality cars from the 80s and 90s. My father sold them for a few years before going to Ford as they Chryslers just dont sell and only got better when they opened up thier model choices so by closing them again to a few models they are cutting thier own throats as usual.

THe UAW and the Big 3 management conducted a 50 year "conspiracy of ignorance". The title of this story should have been "Circling the drain on six cylinders"

American auto workers have caused their own demise. They bled these companies dry with their high salaries and cradle to the grave health care. What other blue collar workers in the US make $30 a hour and great health care? The workers might try to blame the auto makers by saying they don't have products people want. But the auto makers can't invest in new products when they are bleeding red ink.
