Oil reserves need to be stuffed to the top. They are for stratigic needs. The only way you and I will conserve and force alternative energy sources is to be hit in the pocket-book with $5 per gal. Only then will it become economically feasisble and viable in the near future.

I think it's pretty stupid to put oil into a reserve right now when we need it at the present time. Saving it for a "rainy day" is foolish, oil doesn't not rot like plants.
Let's give the US citizens a break instead of filling the "oil men's" pockets.
