Locals call it "The Bakken." It's a behemoth oil reserve stretching across North Dakota, Montana and southeastern Saskatchewan... a reserve so massive it contains 10 times more barrels of oil than Alaska's North Slope. Keith Kohl has been telling you about this for months in his Bakken Oil Formation report.
TGA7269 05:38:52 PM May 22 2008
Price had estimated that the Bakken Formation held as many as 900 billion barrels of oil, but died before the work could be published or reviewed. Some pegged it at close to 200 billion to 300 billion, with others calling for more than 400 billion.

It is not OPEC's responsibility to raise production when there is a glut of oil available.
And the Saudi's do not pump oil out of the ground-it is artesian. They do pump it thru pipelines.
The Middle East thinks the US is a joke and a bunch of cry babies.
If our useless congress eliminated 10% margins on oil and forced delivery-wala-$50 oil.
All of congress that held the hearings own oil stocks!
Read the hearings-what stupid questions-what idioits.
And as exxon says why worry about risky exploration, when we can make record profits without any risk.
Why up grade US refineries-oldest and most dangerous and un economical in the world?
That is what exxon says-running at 85%.
For every barrel of real oil there are 2 and a half paper contract on it thru the merchantile exchange, of which onlt 5% is ever delivered. Now that is a shortage which supports massive profits, for the few, at the pain of the rest.
The price of fuel, for example, in Nicaragua has not gone up in a year-they

Despite crude's recent declines, gas prices are likely to keep rising for a while. Crude's rapid rise over the past year has squeezed refinery profit margins; refiners must pay for the oil they refine into fuel, but have been unable to raise gas prices fast enough to keep up with crude. While oil prices are up about 73 percent in the last year, gas prices are only up 22 percent.
On Thursday, Exxon Mobil Corp. reported a first quarter profit of $10.9 billion, but missed analyst expectations. The company said significantly lower worldwide refining margins reduced earnings by about $1 billion in the quarter.
Analysts expect gas prices to peak within the next two months.
In many oil producing nations gas is absurdly cheap. In Venezuela it's 12 cents a gallon. In Saudi Arabia it's 45 a gal.

But one other thing that most people do NOT realize is that Exxon only operates about 900 Gas stations int he USA. All of the other EXXON brand stations are owned by individuals and are owner operator sites. Exxon does not set the price there and the gas they get may actually be manufactured by any refinery, but usually blended at a Company site. Remember Gasoline is transported by pipeline that is shared by ALL companies, It is made to spec. and is what is called FUNGIBLE. So it is hard to boycott the oil companies, since they are all in this together, sounds like a monopoly doesnât it?
