Ford Recalls Vehicles for Second Time

TAURUS70: It is now APRIL16, 2008. My speed control is still disconnected wth no promise of any help in the near furure. What happened to FORD Motor Company? They no longer are interested in Customer Relations, I am 85 years young and have owned many FORD products including several Lincolns. To some people the loss of a speed control is no big deal but for me it really makes a long trip easier. I just completed a 1760 mile trip and believe me, a speed control would have made it more pleasurable. If any one can give me any information I would appreciate being contacted at TAURUS70@AOL.COM. Ford Motor Officials welcome to reply. It would be interesting to hear their side of the story.

my son had an f-150 ford pick up which caught on fire..in
front of our house due to the cruise control defect and
ford refused to make good on the vehicle....
i can not believe my husband had the gall to purchase a
ford f150 last yr....yuck. //////////////
i have never had problems with my honda accords

TAURUS70. I have a motor home on an E-450 Chassis. On September 20, 2007 I recieved a recall notice. I Have a $200,000 vehicle that I can't fully use because of a miistake FORD made. I have had the cruise control disconnected. IMy husband and I have made many inquries about a fix and have recieved no satisfction. I can understand why FORD sales are dropping. We will not consider a FORD under any circumstances as we would not feel safe in one of their products. Letters and E-Mails go unanswered or with a ficticous date that the part will available. We had to cancel a vacation trip due to the lack of the repair. hOW LONG MUST WE WAIT?

I am driving a 2004 Ford Escape. Before that, I drove a Lincoln
Town Car. Both possibly a fire hazard. Why I bought another
Ford is beyone me. It will NOT happen again. I do not understand
why they can't get their act together. Poor Henry most likely
is turning in his grave. Ford, this is senseless. Get it together!!

Ford has been going about this all wrong....It is the SWITCH that needs to be replaced....They have pit a fuse in the line to blow when the switch fails. What happens is the switch starts to leak brake fluid and then it shorts out.........FIX THE D... SWITCH.....

On the 21st of September 2007 I recieved a safety recall 05S28. I immediately called GATOR Ford and had the speed control disconnected. I was advised that the part would be available for installation in November 2007. Since that time I have been given different dates and the latest is April or later.I have a Motor home on an E-450 Chassis, If it was a normal vehicle it wouldn't bother me but the M/H is easier to drive with the speed control. My problem is my husband has written to all the top people requesting information and have had no acceptable reply. One reply was an unsigned letter. I don't know what the problem is with FORD but they have a huge number of potential FORD buyer that are very unhappy. This has been going on since 2005, I am planning a long trip in May and would like to have some asasurances that I will have a speed control when I start out. Now we know why FORD is now no.3.
If someone from FORD reads this I would appreciate them contacting me.

MY 1992 LINCOLN TOWNCAR WAS RECOLLED THREE MONTHS AGO TO CORRERCT THE CRUISE CONTROL. THREE MONTHS SEEMS TO BE A LONG PERIOD TO WAIT FOR THE PART TO BE SENT TO MY LINCOLN DEALER I HAVE HAD A BUYER FOR THIS VEHICLE FOR SIX WEEKS, BUT HE WILL NOT PURCHASE THE VEHICLE WITH A DISCONNECTED CRUISE CONTROL. I BELIEVE I HAVE LOST THE SALE OF MY LINCOLN THIS DELAY IS CAUSED BY THE FORD MOTOR COMPANY, NOT MY LOCAL DEALER....MASANO LINCOLN DEALER, READING, PENNSYLVANIA.
