I don't know if this move will help the older Rohm and Haas employees or not. Years ago, Rohm and Haas cared about it's employees, but ever since Gupta took over everything changed. People that worked there for years were let go, because operations were moved overseas. Just the other week, they announced several more hunderd people were getting the axe. You walk through their home office now and most of the people are from India. Maybe they are Roj's family, who knows. The building was just renovated, a new cafeteria buillt, and now selling everyone out. Oh well, good luck to the few older employees that are left, I hope they get good deals out of this move. I know I sure got screwed royally after over 30 years working for them, and I guess I'll get screwed again as far as my pension and health benefits go.

Sounds like a win-win situation for all concerned. The stock holders should be happy in the long run. Dow Chemical is on the move and making smart decisions for the future of the company. They surround themselves with quality people and do their homework diligently. Affordable stock with growth potential.
