I guess it shows always think proactive instead of reactive. First of all make sure you save enough to weather the hard times. My wife and I have saved 50 percent of our income over the last 14 years. It just takes disipline and a bit of commitment but it works. Take care all.

Those who make unions a scapegoat have bought into the very effective propaganda that has led to the disappearing middle class in this country. Watchthe documentaries sometime and see what happens when all the cards are put in the hands of the corporations and there is no means to deal with uncontrolled greed. Many other countries haven't been bamboozled into this warped thinking and are supportive of their unions, knowing that they help to insure a stable middle class. In recent years, as unions have dwindled, we have watched benefits and pensions vanish for many middle class Americans while the salaries of the CEOs have goneinto the stratosphere. Don't buy into the propaganda.

The problem with unions is that they only work "in a perfect world". Someone has got to pay their high wages and that someone is you the consumer. The US has got to understand that there is a whole world of hungry mouths to feed out there and we are in competition with all of them now. IT IS A WORLD ECONOMY NOW.

Wait until the democrates control the white house as well--you'll see worse--

Can see from certain comments here that some are oblivious to the fact that we have DEMOCRAT contolled Congress who has gotten us into this situation and who wants to tax us yet MORE!!!These same guppies are all walmart shoppers who apparently think that China is going to pay their Social Security!!

Wal Mart's greed in dealing with their suppliers cost the USA more jobs and forced US companies to export factories and jobs to other countries than the government--you want someone to blame or hang start at the top of Walmart and work your way down--they get $00.00 of my money--you people need to wake up--cheap is not better for the economy
