I'm very much a middle-class person, and tax policy should favor the weathy. After all, poor people don't create jobs. If a poor person decides to start a business, he's not goig to hire an assistant, until the business does well enough to hire someone.I know a number of wealthy people who took their Reagan tax cuts and decided to strike out on their own, including lawyers, accountants, and business consultants. In a few cases, they run businesses that are larger than the ones they left. And while becoming extremely wealthy, they created many, many jobs that otherwise wouldn't exist today.

The problem is that people who work on Wall St. expect a bonus, as part of their compensation package. If people don't get bonuses. they will leave and go work work in private equity or foreign banks. I know people that take the view that if they bust their butt, they should get a bonus, regardless of company performance.

I am so tired of hearing it is the republicans fault, it is the democrats fault............they all think the same way GREED!!!! Do you any ONE of these law makers talking about taking a pay cut, or benefit cuts? NO We have to suffer for their GREED and glory. People want to come to America for the riches they can aquire, because the immigrants everything for FREE. If we don't have health care coverage we could lose everything, I mean whatever savings we may have and our homes. They need health care OUR GOVERNMENT takes care of them, through our tax money. When will our elected officials realize they were elected as The Voice of The People. Start to plan to vote someone else, when it comes to a senate or congress person. They are controlled by Wall Street and the rich, that has to change. So whether they rep. or dem. they are controlled and care less about the average person. GREED GOD BLESS AND PROTECT US ALL

If President Obama wants to go after corporate fat cats, he should start with his #1 donor, Franklin Raines, who took millions in severance after running Fannie Mae into the ground. It would mean more and be less hypocritcal if he started with those CEOs who donated to his campaign. He can then go after Cristopher Dodd, Barney Frank and oh, yes, himself and demand that as CEOs give back clawbacks (which I am in favor of) so should the politicians who took all that lobbyist money (I call it bribes) from Freddie Mac and Fannie Mae and refused to let them be regulated and then after taking their money voted (instead of abstaining) to save them by taking them over. If you or I didn't recuse ourselves in a similar situation on a similar vote, we would be tarred and feathered but our politicians are ABOVE THE LAW. So much for democracy where we are all equal under the law! Yeah, right!

Bush, Obama, Bush, Obama, Bush, Obama...oh my god you all sound like jealous little 10 year olds. He did it...No he did ..No he didn't...oh yes he did. Grow up, move on, accept what is, stop whining and deal with the fact that Obama is President.

I can't believe there are still people who think Bush was good and that there are WMD's in Iraq. What is up with these people. How can anyone say that Republican policies work for the ordinary American!! Only EXxon and the super duper rich like the current tax structure which punishes the middle class and rewards execs. with shameful amounts of money. no one should make that much money, period.

Kaydahl - sorry for you but you are wrong. Obama got most of his money from grass roots - 5 or 10 dollars from working people. Thank God he had enough money to counter the conservative brainwashing and now we can all recover from the texas idiot and his intolarant, unAmerican ways.
