The Dark Secrets of
Fashion's Brightest Brands

Fashion retailers have made an art out of the science of seduction. From the lush magazine ads and traffic-stopping billboards to the stylish salesclerks and strategically-designed shops, few industries can match fashion’s ability to hypnotize the buying public.

Then again, that may be exactly why everyone loves a good fashion scandal. As Minyanville has discovered, even the most revered brands have been accused of some unattractive behavior.

We’ve seen the glitz and glamour. Now let’s see what’s hiding in the closet. Click through our gallery as we take a look at the secrets your favorite designers hoped you’d never discover.

Ah Ms Ambrookedge, maybe if you read what folks are saying here, you wouldnt chat out such dumb responses. We are smart women who DO ********** when bought. Duh, can you say, its in the material. Something you cannot wash out. Im 5'2, and weigh 116lbs, and Im a very intelligent women. I dont need the likes of you advising me to ********** to be safe..You can wash them to death and still get the rashes that are caused by this fabric. Oh and by the way, how in heavens name do you wear jeans, shirts, sweaters, and Coats without them touching your skin? Do you not need precautions with these items? duh....

You tell em' Justdance...I whole heartly agree with you, and I didnt have to work for the trash -ass company to find it out. In good faith I bought this merchandise for years, then in Dec 08, It caused me tons of money to find out what the issue was with a disgusting rash around my breast area. Were they concerned, hell NO!. Nice to know there are smart ladies out here beginning to realize, Victoria Secret Blows!...Did they care, well He$%# No!

I refuse to shop at Forever 21. It's like the clothing version of fast food. Yeah, it's cheap, but what are the true costs of it being that cheap? At 27, I'm also a little too old to be wearing that stuff.
Something they forgot to mention about Victoria's Secret is that many consumers are boycotting the company for using old-growth forest to print their millions upon millions of catalogs. Frankly, I think they are grossly overpriced and their bras are really uncomfortable. Everything is so dolled up in lace and cheap, scratchy fabric, I'm not surprised those women got rashes. And their clothes are borderline whorish- they should only be worn by trophy wives who drive SUVs and wear designer sweat pants.
SIGH. Why is it so damn hard to find quality clothing anymore?

I have overly sensitive skin and numerous allergies and have NEVER had any issues with Victoria's Secret. I love all of their products. If you wash the bras properly (by hand in cold water, air dry) and buy the appropriate size, you should never have problem. Their sizing is strange ******** like that for a reason. If you wear anything too tight you're gonna get a rash.
