At this pace, Wal-Mart may become the 1st trillion dollar company in history. That would be a landmark event. Vendors will shutter rightfully so as Wal-Mart can leverage their increased buying buying to their cut prices further. Short-term fix for the vendors is will be forced to move production to China or India. More U.S. manufacturing jobs are lost in the process. Wal-Mart more than likely will have to be split-up eventually to satisfy anti-trust laws on the books.
