Customization

Our new Real-Time Headlines experience is fully customizable. Consume the news you want to read in the format you prefer. You can customize your news preferences at any time, and your choices will be remembered for future sessions.

To utilize this feature, simply click on the "Customize" link (located to the right just above the headline tabs on the Quote Details page, or on the right just below the tabs on the Real-Time Headlines page). The customization panel will open up with the following customization options for your consideration:

Relevancy

You can opt to view stories based on how "relevant' they are to your security. Click the Customize link at the top right of the headlines and select one of the 3 settings on the relevancy scale.

The settings range from Broad to Specific where Broad implies the story "mentions" the security you are researching. Specific suggests that the story was written primarily about the security you are researching. The setting between Broad and Specific, in the middle, is of course more relaxed than the Specific option, but more stringent than the Broad option when filtering stories.

The default setting is 'Specific'.

You can change your settings at any time using the customization panel. Be sure to click the ?Save? button. Making changes will dynamically change the stories available to you in your headlines modules.

Clustering or Grouping

Often, different providers publish the same story, or stories that are extremely similar. Such stories are available for you to view clustered or grouped if you desire. If you select the "Grouped Results" radio button from the customization panel, like stories will be presented to you using the most recent headline followed by a "View all Related Articles" link.

If you mouse over a "View all Related Articles" link you will be able to view the list of related articles including date/time stamp, headline and source. You can choose to go straight to one of the related articles by clicking on the headline, or you can view all by clicking on the "View all Related Articles" link.

Ungrouped Results will show every story as it comes in without grouping like stories.

You can change your preference at any time using the customization panel. Remember to click the 'Save' button. Making changes will dynamically change how stories are presented to you in your headlines modules.Source Selection
