Average Monthly Returns

This page illustrates the average return, by month, over the past 5 years. Returns are presented both graphically and in table form.

Using the graph at the top of the page, you can quickly view the average percent return by assessing the height of the bar. Color coding shows number of days the stock increased and decreased in the given month for those 5 years. The color coding is as follows:

  • Blue = days the stock price was up
  • Orange = days the stock price was down
  • Grey = days the stock price was unchanged

The table below the image displays the return by month, as well as the number of days the stock traded up, down or remained unchanged as is shown in the image. However, this table also displays the return, by month and year for the previous 5 years. Where a stock had a negative return, the value will be preceded by a negative sign.
