Classic Charts
The Classic Charts tool, is a robust, full-featured utility you can use to evaluate potential investments, track the performance of stocks you own, or spot market trends in the making.
Here are some of the most useful and popular features:
- Click through a series of standard time frames for any stock or fund. You can select one of these time frames from the drop down list box on the chart page, or click on one of the hyperlinks below the chart image. The standard time frames supported include:
- 1-Day (Intra-day)
- 1 Month
- 3 Month
- 6 Month
- 1 Year
- 3 Year
- 5 Year
- 10 Year
- Create a chart which shows the performance of a stock for a custom time range you specify. For example, you could create a chart which shows the performance of Cisco Systems from March 1st, 2000 until today.
- Compare the performance of two or more stocks within a single chart image. Add up to 7 ticker symbols of your choice. Include benchmark indices, mutual funds or other investments, it's up to you.
- Plot volume, stock splits, or dividend distributions on any stock chart.
- Color coded volume bars indicate when the price for the particular time interval has closed up (represented by a green bar) or when the price has closed down (represented by a red bar).
- Choose from a variety of chart styles including:
- Mountain (default)
- High/Low/Open/Close
- Bar
- Candlestick
- Dress up your chart images by selecting from a fun variety of different chart color schemes.
- Apply a moving average to your stock chart to reveal technical trends. The moving averages available include:
- 10 day
- 20 day
- 50 day
- 100 day
- 200 day
