WebMD Health commences tender offer of 5.7M shares
AP
NEW YORK -WebMD Health Corp. said Tuesday it had begun a tender offer to repurchase up to 5.7 million shares at $37 per share.
The offer is higher than the $36 a share proposed on Nov. 3, the health information services company said. It is also a 3.5 percent premium over its closing price Monday.
The company said the number of shares for purchase represent about 10 percent of WebMD's outstanding stock.
The tender offer will expire on Dec. 10.
