All-Electric ZeroTruck Powered by UQM® Propulsion System Now Available for Purchase by U.S. Government Agencies

UQM TECHNOLOGIES, INC. (AMEX: UQM), a developer of alternative
energy technologies, announced today that the all-electric medium duty
ZeroTruck powered by a UQM
® PowerPhase
® electric
propulsion system is now available for purchase by U.S. government
agencies on General Services Agency (GSA) schedule 95E through GSA five
year exclusive contract holder Central Truck Center of Landover,
Maryland. The ZeroTruck is also available through select Isuzu
dealerships in California, Colorado, North Carolina, and New York.
The ZeroTruck is an all-electric zero emission medium duty truck based
on the Isuzu N series chassis, featuring a low cab-forward design, a
fully automated transmission and up to a 100 mile range with full
highway capability.
The ZeroTruck features a UQM
® PowerPhase
® 100 kW
(134 horsepower) electric propulsion system that produces peak torque of
550 N-m. The system has a continuous torque rating of 400 N-m and a
continuous power rating of 100 kW (134 horsepower). The system also
features optimized four-quadrant performance, dynamic torque, speed and
voltage control, and system energy efficiency of over 90 percent across
a substantial portion of its performance curve.
