Time for Polka in the Caribbean Onboard MSC Poesia
Well-Known Bands Perform for Polka Cruise on January 9, 2010
PR Newswire
FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla., July 28 /PRNewswire/ -- Polka music fans will have plenty to enjoy on
MSC Poesia's January 9, 2010 Polka Cruise, as two of the country's best known polka bands take to the seas on a 7-night Caribbean cruise.
Guests will be dancing and swaying to the sounds of two popular polka bands:
-- John Stevens Double Shot is a popular Pennsylvania-based group that has
played its contemporary polka rhythms at numerous festivals throughout
the country. The group's most popular songs are
"Everyone's Having Fun," "Gonna Have a Party,"
and "Back to the Sea."
-- Joe Stanky and the Cadets have been performing classic polka sounds for
more than 25 years. The group also features a range of styles including
honky, country, Slovenian and both English and Polish vocals. The
group's newest CD is "Sing Me Back Home."
The "Eastern Caribbean Enchantment" itinerary for this unique Polka music theme cruise sails roundtrip from Fort Lauderdale and calls at ports in San Juan, Puerto Rico; Philipsburg, St. Maarten; Tortola, British Virgin Islands; and Nassau, Bahamas. Cruise-only rates include all of the Polka music performances with rates beginning at $549 per person, double occupancy; government fees and taxes are additional. As on all MSC Cruises' sailings, kids ages 17 and younger sail free when sharing a stateroom with two full-fare-paying adults.
MSC Poesia's 2009-2010 Caribbean cruise season features Big Band, Oldies, Baseball Greats, Comedy, Country Music, Festa Italiana, and Latin theme cruises.
