SAN MATEO, Calif. -SuccessFactors Inc., a business software maker, said Friday it is raising its 2009 revenue outlook and said the September launch of its business execution software accelerated interest from new and existing customers.
For 2009, the company said revenue will range between $149.7 million and $150.6 million, up from prior expectations for sales between $147 million to $148 million. Analysts polled by Thomson Reuters predict revenue of $148.3 million.
For the quarter ended Sept. 30, the company said revenue will range between $38.2 million and $38.7 million, up at least 29 percent from a year ago.
The company said customers responded well to its business execution software, and that the company saw an increase in large deals and strength in international markets.
For the fiscal fourth quarter, the company said revenue will range between $39.3 million and $39.7 million. That is a shade below analysts' average forecast of $39.8 million.
Its shares fell 31 cents to $15.58 in morning trading Friday amid a broad market retreat.
