KAILUA-KONA, HAWAII -- (Marketwire) -- 09/10/09 -- The Speciality Coffee Association of Europe's (SCAE) annual coffee origin tour is coming to the Island of Hawaii on October 26-31.

The 40-nation SCAE organisation established its origin trip program in 2002 to visit coffee producing countries, learn about their industry, cultivation and processing methods, regional coffee flavour characteristics and to identify potential trade partners. The program has since visited Brazil, El Salvador, Guatemala, Ethiopia, Rwanda, Colombia, Costa Rica and Panama. This will be the first SCAE-organized visit to the State of Hawaii.

Approximately 20 delegates who represent leading European coffee importers, roasters, retail chains or other coffee industry businesses are expected to participate as members of the delegation.
