Snow and Rock Sports: Snow+Rock Spearhead a New Sports Retail Concept in Victoria, SW1
Business Wire
Following the acquisition of a row of 3 prime retail units in Victoria's
Cardinal place, Snow+Rock are proud to announce the opening of a trio of
stores to compliment the groups growing portfolio.
The first store to open in December will be a partnership concept store
with premier outdoor brand The North Face. The following two units to
open in January will be CycleSurgery (a division of Snow+Rock since
2007), and Runners Need – London’s leading specialist running retailer
and a long-term partner of CycleSurgery.
This emporium of sports stores will bring an unrivalled offering to
local residents, workers and the 77 million people that pass through the
Victoria station area every year.
The North Face (opening December ’09)
The North Face®, the world’s premier supplier of authentic, innovative
and technically advanced outdoor apparel, equipment and footwear, is
excited to be opening their 3rd London concept store in the heart of
Victoria.
The store will offer the complete range of The North Faces products and
brings authentic outdoor products to the Victoria area.
Due to open in December The North Face store will open just in time for
those tricky Christmas gift purchases.
CycleSurgery (opening January 2010)
CycleSurgery is pleased to announce the opening of their new cycle store
just a stones throw from Victoria main line and underground railway
station. It will be their 10th stand-alone store in central London.
CycleSurgery will have in excess of 150 bikes on display for the
discerning cyclist to choose from, along with the best cycling clothing
and accessories in London. Offering convenient street level access the
new Victoria store will be the ideal local hub for the growing commuter
market.
The new store will also have all the elements cyclists have come to
expect from CycleSurgery: Experienced and knowledgeable staff (all of
whom are end users), along with a fully equipped workshop with
qualified, attentive mechanics using the latest tools and technology to
maintain and service every bike from urban commuting and folding through
to competition level road, trail and downhill bikes.
Managing Director Dion Taylor said “We are really excited about this
retail opportunity close to one of London’s main transport hubs. There
are very few bicycle retailers in the area and we look forward to
providing the very best cycle brands and customer service to residents
and workers of the Victoria area”.
Runners Need (Opening January 2010)
The new London store will be the seventh in line for Runners Need, a
privately owned and independent company serving London’s running
community since 1982. Located near the second busiest transport hub in
London, Runners Need Victoria will open in January 2010.
The new Runners Need store expands on the company’s partnership with
CycleSurgery, following the success of its four joint ventures in
Holborn, King’s Cross and near Liverpool Street and Oxford Circus
stations. Running enthusiasts will once again be able to benefit from
the expert technical advice of experienced, knowledgeable staff – all of
whom are runners themselves.
London’s leading specialist retailer is opening in time to cater for
runners’ New Year training plans. The store will offer gait analysis
using treadmills and video cameras to enable staff to analyse customers’
running action and recommend suitable footwear. In addition, there will
be an extensive selection of men’s and women’s technical running
clothing, books, watches, GPS and heart rate monitors and energy
supplements.
