RWE to sell all of its American Water stake
AP
BERLIN -German power company and utility RWE AG said Wednesday it will sell its remaining 3.7 million shares in American Water.
RWE, based in Essen, said in a short statement it would sell the 2.1 percent of shares at $21.63 each through a group of underwriters. The company said net proceeds from the latest sale should total some $78 million.
RWE has been steadily selling its stake in American Water, based in Voorhees, New Jersey.
Earlier this month, the company sold 37.4 million shares of American Water, the largest investor-owned water and wastewater utility company in the United States.
