SAO PAULO, June 19 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- In compliance with CVM Instruction 358 of January 3, 2002, BR MALLS PARTICIPACOES S.A. hereby informs its shareholders and the market that, pursuant to CVM Instruction 384 of March 17, 2003, it has hired Banco UBS Pactual S.A., a financial institution with head office at Av. Brigadeiro Faria Lima no. 3.729, 8th to 10th floors, in the city and state of Sao Paulo, inscribed in the corporate taxpayers register (CNPJ/MF) under no. 30.306.294/0002-26, as the market maker for its common shares ("BRML3") on the BM&F Bovespa ("Market Maker"), including dealings through UBS Pactual Corretora de Titulos e Valores Mobiliarios S.A., a financial institution with head office at Av. Brigadeiro Faria Lima, no. 3.729, 10th floor, in the city and state of Sao Paulo, inscribed in the corporate taxpayers register (CNPJ/MF) under no. 43.815.158/0001-22, for a period of 12 months, automatically renewable for equal periods if neither party communicates its intention to the contrary, in order to increase the liquidity of said shares. The Company also informs that 74,280,000 common shares are outstanding and that it has not entered into any agreement with the market maker regulating the exercise of voting rights or the purchase and sale of securities issued by it.
