Ebates, the pioneer and leader in online cash back shopping, today released its online retail results for Cyber Monday 2009, showing that projected sales through Ebates.com increased by 76% versus the same period last year. Ebates enables cash back shopping at over 1,300 of the nation’s top online stores and tracks the purchases of nearly 2 million active shoppers.
Ebates’ top shopped-at stores on Cyber Monday were Walmart, eBay, Best Buy, The Body Shop, Dell, Lancôme, Sony and Toys R Us. These stores are projected to show a combined increase greater than 100% over Cyber Monday last year.
“The record Cyber Monday sales demonstrate that more and more shoppers are going online because online shopping has never been easier, faster or a better deal for time-pressed and value-conscious shoppers,” said Kevin H. Johnson, CEO of Ebates.
