October Auto Sales: Hyundai

FOUNTAIN VALLEY, Calif. -Hyundai Motor America said Tuesday its October U.S. sales rose by nearly half, crediting market share gains and interest in its 2010 model year vehicles.
BY THE NUMBERS: Hyundai sales rose 48.9 percent to 31,005 vehicles from 20,820 in the same month last year. For the first 10 months of the year, Hyundai sales rose 4.1 percent to 373,222 units from 358,484.
TOP SELLER: Demand for the fuel-efficient Elantra sedan more than tripled to 8,673 vehicles. Accent sales more than doubled to 4,581.
