Nordstrom Rack to Open New Store in Pentagon City

SEATTLE, Oct. 20 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Seattle-based Nordstrom, Inc. (NYSE: JWN), a leading fashion specialty retailer, announced it will open a 33,912-square-foot Nordstrom Rack, a unit of the company's off-price retail division, in the Pentagon City area of Arlington, Va. Scheduled to open in fall 2010 at Pentagon Centre, the new store will be the closest Nordstrom Rack to downtown Washington D.C.

Nordstrom Rack at Pentagon Centre marks the fourth Nordstrom Rack addition to the Washington D.C. metropolitan area, joining three Racks and four Nordstrom stores in this region. The new store will be located across the street from the Nordstrom store at Fashion Centre at Pentagon City. Current tenants at Pentagon Centre include Costco, Marshalls, Best Buy and Borders.

Nordstrom Rack carries merchandise from Nordstrom stores and Nordstrom.com at 50-60% off original Nordstrom prices. Nordstrom Rack also offers a wide selection of apparel, accessories and shoes from many of the brands carried in Nordstrom stores and purchased specially for Nordstrom Rack, with most at savings of 30-70% off.
