Winter Rates Released for Secluded Lighthouse Bay Resort
Watch the warm, glorious Caribbean sunrise and sunset from your luxurious, peaceful suite
Business Wire
Take a quiet stroll along a secluded beach, where the pink-colored sand
feels like butter beneath your feet, and your steps are the only
footprints etched in the sand for miles. Here at Lighthouse Bay Resort,
a private island paradise on the largely undeveloped isle of Barbuda,
you can rest your weary soul and overworked mind amid the tranquility
and solitude of a luxurious resort complete with modern amenities and
unparalleled service but set apart from the noise, traffic and
population that dominate everyday life. With the release of its fall and
winter rates, the Lighthouse Bay Resort beckons to weary travelers who
are more than ready to escape from their hectic lives and head for the
quiet solitude of a tropical haven.
Nestled on a narrow, nine-mile strip of unspoiled natural land between
the Caribbean Sea and a shallow lagoon, Lighthouse Bay Resort is an
exclusive, intimate resort that combines a tranquil ambiance with a
beautiful, secluded location to create the perfect peaceful getaway.
Guests fly into Antigua, which is a five-hour direct flight from New
York, and then complete the last 26 miles of their trip to Barbuda and
Lighthouse Bay Resort via an exciting helicopter ride or a privately
charted plane. Upon arrival, friendly staff greets you with cold, plush
towels and escorts you to the lobby, beautifully appointed with rich,
dark woods and lovely, iridescent floor tiles that sparkle in the
moonlight.
From Dec. 19, 2009 through Jan. 11, 2010, rates start at $1,299 per
night, which includes breakfast, lunch and dinner as well as a one-way
complimentary helicopter transfer to the resort for stays booked for 5
nights or less. From Jan. 11, 2010 through March 28, 2010, rates start
at $1,099 per night. Stays booked longer than 6 nights include a
roundtrip complimentary helicopter transfer. This rate does not include
taxes, service charges or beverages.
The resort’s nine luxurious suites feature stunning views. Gaze out the
front of the suite and witness the sunrise over the blue-green lagoon
waters. Marvel at the clear, blue Caribbean waters to the rear of your
suite and watch the sun disappear where the sky merges with the sea. The
ocean-front suites are elegantly decorated with dark, mahogany woods and
luxurious furnishings. Suites feature a king-sized bed or two twin beds
(only in one suite), with soft, plush linens that soothes guests until
they fall into a deep, restful sleep. Slip into a bathrobe and slippers,
and enter your private bath, with blue bahia granite counters, elegant,
polished fixtures, an illuminated make-up mirror, and a marble-lined
shower. Stay connected with complimentary international calling, a
flat-screen TV with satellite reception, iPod compatible surround-sound
stereo, wireless Internet and an in-room laptop.
