KACE™ Holds Largest User Conference Ever
Customer Interaction, Expert Sessions and Keynote Speakers Help KACE Customers ‘Know No Boundaries’ in Systems Management
Business Wire
KACE,
the leading systems management appliance company, announced the
successful conclusion of
KACE
Konference 2009, its fourth-annual user forum held Nov. 9-11, 2009,
at the Hyatt Regency, San Francisco. The largest attended conference to
date, this year’s “Knowing No Boundaries” themed-event, proves that even
the struggling economy couldn’t keep customers away from learning how to
squeeze the best possible return on investment from their KBOX
appliances. Attendees spent three days engaged in valuable KACE, partner
and peer presentations and discussions, sharing the latest systems
management practices with the award-winning
KBOX™
family of systems management and deployment appliances.
“While many companies cancelled their user conferences this year, we
experienced a record number of attendees,” said Wynn White, Vice
President for Marketing at KACE.
“Our customers come to the KACE Konference because of the tremendous
value they get from both KACE and market experts, and from sharing
information with their peers. Attendees have told us time and again that
the knowledge learned at Konference helped them to better prepare and
significantly increase their know-how to tackle the major IT challenges
they face, allowing them to more effectively save precious time and
their organizations money.”
The conference kicked off Monday with all-day Boot Kamp sessions where
both beginner and advanced IT administrators learned hands-on techniques
for how to best manage their IT environment with KBOX appliances. On
Tuesday, keynotes were delivered by CEO Rob Meinhardt and fellow
co-founder Marty Kacin, who also serves as CTO. Day three saw a special
keynote address from Andi Mann, vice president of research for
Enterprise Management Associates (EMA), who used case studies, research
and market data to forecast how desktop management will evolve in 2010
and beyond. The conference offered dozens of technical breakout
sessions, including hands-on Windows 7 Migration labs and real world
KBOX customer presentations. Attendees were also given the opportunity
to have their most pressing systems management and product questions
answered via “Ask the Experts” session panels.
“The KACE Konference was an invaluable experience, and I would encourage
any KACE customer to attend,” said Barry Lambson, network supervisor at
Gallup-McKinley County Schools. “Konference has given me an opportunity
to meet with a community of professionals who face the same challenges I
do and have chosen KBOX to solve those problems. It was also a rare
opportunity to query KACE employees about technical issues and the
development of the appliance, increasing our general knowledge about our
KBOX implementation.”
KACE wrapped up its 2009 User Konference by recognizing customers for
achievements using KBOX to manage their IT infrastructure. This year’s
awards went to:
- KBOX Rookie of the Year: North Shore School District;
- KACE Pioneer: Ebara International;
- System Administrator of the Year, Systems Management Appliance: DeLorme Publishing;
- System Administrator of the Year, Systems Deployment Appliance: Benchmark Group;
- KACE User Konference “MVP:”(three-way tie) Wilbur-Ellis, DeLorme Publishing, CEI Community Mental Health.
