Himfr.com's market analyst points out that compared with October 12, meat, eggs and aquatic food prices fell, and in some provinces the pork price is also lower than before the October festival. Fruit and vegetable prices are down also. After festival period ended, the sales promotions successively ended. The edible oil prices saw a slight rise, while grain and milk prices are basically stable. Meat prices since October 3 have been driven by the holiday effect up to a high point, which has maintained a steady trend of slight decrease since the end of that period. Since October 11, streaky pork and haunch pork prices are respectively down 0.2 percent and 0.1 percent, with prices at 10.37 yuan per jin and 9.46 yuan per jin. Carp, silver carp and crucian carp prices are also down 0.4 percent, 0.4 percent and 0.3 percent, respectively, but grass carp prices rose 0.7 percent. The holiday effect has now dissipated, and with the weather sunny and beautiful, the market supply has been adequate which leads cabbage, celery, spinach, rape, and lettuce and other leafy vegetables prices to all decline around 1 percent.
