Hallmark and Abandon Interactive Entertainment Announce Exclusive Distribution of New Plush Toys and Interactive Game
Reversible Freaky Pets Plush Toys and Dynamic Virtual World Set to Launch in 2010
Business Wire
Abandon Interactive Entertainment today announced it has entered an
exclusive deal with Hallmark Gold Crown stores to distribute its new
interactive product,
Freaky Pets, in 2010. Targeting children
ages four and up,
Freaky Pets brings to market a line of unique
reversible plush toys with a web browser-based 3D game safe for
children. The toys, which will retail for $14.99 each, will include a
full one-year subscription to the interactive
Freaky Pets virtual
world that unlocks each player’s Pet in-game, opening up a world of new
and exciting adventures.
“We’re eager to provide the younger demographic an animated reversible
plush combined with an engaging virtual world game that is unlike
anything on the market today,” said Jamie Ottilie, president and COO of
Abandon Interactive Entertainment. “Partnering with Hallmark to bring
this unique product to our audience reinforces our dedication to
providing quality, interactive games in a safe environment.”
The first line of reversible plush
Freaky Pets will include 10
different Pets that are cute on one side and cranky on the other, giving
children a funny and safe outlet to explore their emotions. Once online
in the
Freaky Pets virtual world, players can train and bond with
their Pets by feeding them, petting them and teaching them fun tricks.
After the Pets have been trained, players can then take them to Pet Town
to show them off and challenge friends to trick contests, minigames and
more. Players can also earn rewards and in-game currency by going on
quests assigned by Pet Town residents and entering their Pets into a
variety of 3D mini-games including hover racing, memory and trick
performances. As they venture through Pet Town,
Freaky Pets
gamers can buy accessories and exotic pet food at the Pet Bazaar, or
send messages and gifts to friends with Pet Mail. As an added bonus,
players can also spend their hard-earned Creature Credits on various
accessories to customize their Pets and their Pet lairs.
"We are delighted to partner with Abandon Interactive Entertainment to
bring this exciting new line of products exclusively to the Hallmark
Gold Crown store customer,” said Frank DeLeo, vice president – Hallmark
Gold Crown product development. “This is part of our continuing effort
to create a destination for children's products that are not only fun
but also help them develop and express their social and emotional
skills."
Freaky Pets will be distributed exclusively in Hallmark Gold
Crown stores nationwide in 2010. For more information, please visit
